Our city was born in 1724 around its port. The interest in dominating this deep-water natural bay was the reason why so many European empires disputed our territory in colonial times. Currently that area, the colonial center of Montevideo, is one of the most attractive areas that, without a doubt, it is essential to travel.
In addition, the 22 km of beaches on the Río de la Plata, one of the widest in the world, give a special charm to this capital city, one of the most beautiful on the continent, headquarters of several international organizations and capital of the Mercosur.
