I would like to show you the place where I was living and I hope you will enjoy this place the same as me. This is just a 20 min drive from the city center towards a green area called Tyniec. Legend said that this is one of the oldest places in Poland but who knows?

For sure Benedictines abbey is the oldest one in Poland, It has more than 1000 years!

The history of the formation of the Polish State and its former origin through the culture and spirituality of many centuries. During his stay in the monastery in 1467, Jan Długosz describes Tyniec as "a beautiful jewel of the homeland".

From the distance, the monastery looks more like a medieval fortress than a church with its impressive compact structure overlooking at this peaceful and charming Poland's historic heartland. Enter the Abbey and hear the stories and get to know all dangers and misfortunes this place has faced in its long history.
