The reserve Ankarana - from NosyBe to NosyBe

These are large rock formations of grey limestone, created by millions of years of erosion. The buds are sharp and razor-sharp.

Beneath the tsingy lies a totally different world: inhabited by many species of animals and vegetation.

The park is one of the most visited by hikers, offering incredible trails,

unique, grandiose landscapes and lots of animals!

The vegetation of the Ankarana is also adapted to this particular way of life. Over 350 species of plant grow here. Photographers and nature lovers will find some of the most important species here: the “vazaha” tree, pandanus, ficus and the endemic baobab Adansonia madagascarensis, Commiphora trees and Euphorbias.

Within the dry forest and even between the Tsingys, around a hundred species of birds fly and eleven species of lemur leap from stone to stone,

These include the crowned lemur (Eulemur coronatus), Sanford's lemur (Eulemur sanfordi) and the nocturnal bamboo lemurs.

Crowned lemurs and Sanford's lemurs can easily be spotted during lunch at the campsite, as these inquisitive creatures have figured out pretty quickly that there might always be prohibitions.

They're also quick to point out that there could always be bananas or other treats left behind by tourists.

This is an absolutely wonderful trip that is worth at least two day visit.

ITINERARY:

Day1- NosyBe to Ankarana village

- Pick up you hotel in Nosybe, crossing the ferry then drive to Ambilobe city.

On the way we visit the cacao plantation, a main fruit production in this region.

Day2- Reserve ankarana visit

- Hotel breakfast, Drive to the park office for checking our ticket-

ready for the visit to spot on the wildlife lemurs, and many more species of animals -hike on the Tsingy.

visit 4 hrs.

Drive back to Ankify port then Crossing the ferry.

Drop off you at your hotel.
