Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib is one of the prominent figures in Islamic history. He is the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he married his daughter Fatima al-Zahra. Ali was born in Mecca in 600 AD, and is considered one of the first to convert to Islam at the hands of the Prophet Muhammad.
