3 days fes to marrakech desert tour

Fez to Merzouga via Cedar Forest and Midelt.

Our 3 days 2 nughts  starts from your hotel. Pick up and drive south to Ifrane, Azrou, and the Middle Atlas Mountains. On the way, we will stop at cedar forests to see Barbary apes in their natural habitat before crossing the middle Atlas mountains to Midelt.

 Lunch may be here and continue your way to the town of Errachidia. Along the way you will see picturesque views of the High Atlas plateau, revealing hints of the Sahara desert driving through Erfoud and the Ziz valley.

Arriving to Merzouga where you will be welcomed with a glass of Moroccan tea in a hotel. Here you will leave your luggage and pack what you need in a small back bag to ride your camels for about 1 hour to the camp in Erg Chebbi Dunes, the highest sand dunes in North Africa. Dinner and breakfast will be there with a night of traditional Berber music around the fire before you fall asleep.

Day 2

Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Today, You will wake up early to enjoy the amazing sunrise over the dunes, have your breakfast and ride the camels back to the hotel. Meetign your driver to drive to Tinghir and the Todra Gorge, the highest gorges in Morocco. Then to the Dades Valley where your second night will be with dinner and breakfast.

Day 3

Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

After your breakfast in the hotel, you will drive towards Kelaat Mgouna which is known for its rose festival. Aferward to the village of Skoura, this road is known as the road of thousand kasbahs till Ouarzazate, which is the “Hollywood of Africa” because of its Cinema studios where many movies have been filmed.

The next stop will be at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. It’s been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. After having lunch and visiting the kasbah, we will continue through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains. Few stops to take pictures of the beautiful scenery before reaching Marrakech late afternoon where your 3 days Fes Marrakech desert tour ends.
