Walking tour of Lisbon's historic center
Lisbon, one of Europe’s oldest cities, is the result of various cultures, eras… and natural disasters. On this tour, we’ll explore the historic center of the Portuguese capital, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our tour begins at the legendary Praça do Comércio, with visit to Augusta Arch. We then cross the historic Rua Augusta, passing by the historic Santa Justa Elevator, before arriving at the beautiful Praça do Rossio and Praça da Figueira. We’ll visit the 13th-century Church of São Domingos, whose unique architectural style bears the marks of the disasters it has endured.
Our tour begins at the legendary Commerce Square; then we visit the Augusta Arch, with amazing views to the River, next we cross the historic Augusta street historic Rua Augusta, passing by the historic Santa Justa Elevator, to reach the beautiful Rossio Square and Figueira Square. We’ll visit the 13th-century Church of São Domingos, whose unique historical style preserves the marks of the catastrophes it has endured. There will also be time to see the old Café a Brasileira, associated with a famous Portuguese poet, Camões square, the Carmo Convent, the 12th-century, Lisbon Cathedral, the Church of Saint Anthony, and the historic Alfama neighborhood.
The price includes admission to Augusta Arch.
Tour possible to be made between 10 am to 4 pm.
* I'am also available to take a tour of the other side of Lisbon, in Belém, and include a visit to the Jerónimos Monastery, for example. In that case, I’m available between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. This tour as a different price
