After breakfast, we jump right into Samarkand’s epic past. First, check out the Gur-Emir Mausoleum, the legendary resting spot of Amir Temur and his dynasty, glowing in turquoise and gold vibes. Then roll to the Ulugbek Observatory, built by Timur’s genius grandson, a real star-watching hub back in the day. Next, stroll through Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, a stunning street of colorful tombs including the shrine of Qusam ibn Abbas, cousin of the Prophet ﷺ. Stop by the peaceful Hazrat Khizr Mosque for a spiritual moment and killer views. Lunch hits at the cozy Bibikhanum Teahouse, where local tastes meet tradition.
Afternoon — Empire’s echoes
Visit the grand Bibi Khanum Mosque, once among the biggest in the Islamic world, built by Timur for his queen. End the day at Registan Square, Samarkand’s iconic heart, surrounded by three epic madrassas: Ulugbek, Sher Dor, and the golden-glow Tilla-Kari. Wrap up with dinner at a local spot and stay overnight in Samarkand.

After breakfast, dive into Samarkand’s soul. See how handmade mulberry paper is still made at the Ancient Paper Factory (Konigil). Discover buried history at the Afrasiyab Museum & Ruins, from before Timur’s time.
Midday — Market vibes & local eats
Explore Siyab Bazaar — fresh fruits, spices, and real everyday energy. Lunch at a local restaurant with warm Uzbek hospitality.
Afternoon — Chill & shop
