Staying in the highlands of Karatu, you’ll be perfectly positioned to reach the parks early, ensuring you see the animals at their most active.
Day-by-Day Details..
Day 1: Tarangire – The Land of Giants.
Your safari begins with a pick-up at 08:00 AM from Arusha or the airport. We drive straight to Tarangire National Park, a park dominated by ancient Baobab trees and the winding Tarangire River.
The Experience: Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant families. During the dry season, animals congregate around the river, offering spectacular sightings of lions, leopards, giraffes, and various antelope. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the wild before continuing your game drive.
Day 2: The Ngorongoro Crater – A Wildlife Haven.
After an early breakfast, we head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full day inside the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
The Experience: Descend 600 meters to the crater floor, a "natural zoo" where over 30,000 animals live year-round. This is your best chance to see the Black Rhino alongside lions, hyenas, and hippos. We will enjoy a picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool before exploring the lake shore, often pink with flamingos.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Forest & Flamingos.
On your final day, we visit Lake Manyara National Park, a park known for its incredible birdlife and unique "tree-climbing" lions.
The Experience: Start with a half-day game drive through the groundwater forest, where you’ll see troops of baboons and blue monkeys. As the forest opens up to the alkaline lake, keep an eye out for hippos, giraffes, and the park’s famous lions resting in the acacia branches
