African Big 5 (Budget) - 5Days
This is a private tour you starting off with Lake Manyara/Tarangire, before going on 3 nights of camping in the Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater. On the tour, you will be accompanied by a driver/guide and a safari chef. Enjoy game drives on a safari custom jeep with a pop-up roof. On day 0, we will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Later on, you will be briefed about the tour.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
• Highlights: Large elephant herds, baobab trees, lions, and giraffes
• Activities: Game drive and picnic lunch
• Accommodation: Budget lodge or campsite near Tarangire
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
• Drive time: ~6 hours with scenic views en route
• Highlights: Big cats, wildebeest, zebras, and the vast savannah
• Activities: Afternoon game drive
• Accommodation: Budget tented camp inside or near Serengeti
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti
• Activities: Morning and afternoon game drives
• Wildlife: Lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and possibly rhinos
• Accommodation: Continue at Serengeti camp
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
• Morning: Game drive en route to Ngorongoro
• Afternoon: Optional visit to a Maasai village
• Accommodation: Budget lodge or campsite on crater rim
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara & Return to Arusha
• Morning: Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for game drive
• Midday: Visit Lake Manyara for flamingos, tree-climbing lions, and monkeys
• Evening: Return to Arusha
