Carlos was our guide in discovering the beautiful city of Bogota. I was with a friend of mine and we enjoyed a lot his comments and his company. He is nice and knowledgeble. We appreciated our tour and the fact that we did it walking. Moreover, we had interesting conversation about several aspects of the Colombian way of living. Carlos is an open minded kind of man and we felt at ease with him right by the start. He also has a good sense of humour. I guess the exchange of ideas was profitable for all of us. Thanks to him, we could taste delicious exotic fruits, Réal colombian coffee and chicha colombiana, a drink originally from the First Nations, made in a handcrafted way and available in several flavors. A very good discovery! Carlos answered kindly our questions regarding cultural differences or habits between Colombia and Canada. As he traveled quite a bit and lived outside of his country, the exchanges were fun. Desde el inicio fue muy puntual y durante todo el recorrido nos compartió datos históricos muy interesantes que enriquecieron muchísimo la actividad. Además, logró mantenernos entretenidos y atentos en todo momento. Sin duda, lo recomendamos para quienes quieran disfrutar de una experiencia agradable, bien guiada y llena de aprendizaje.

I have found Carlos on the PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD platform. After a couple of WhatsApp messages, I decided to trust him and let him arrange our one and only day in Bogotá at the beginning of our Colombian tour, and then help us arrange the rest of our trip. Carlos arranged a car to take us from the Airport to our Hotel. Although it was late, he was waiting for us to welcome him. We have all made friends at first glance. The next day, he showed us many interesting places in Bogota. We felt very safe with him at all times. We spent more than 8 hours together visiting the city. Carlos has great knowledge of the city and the whole country. He told us many interesting stories. Geography and history are his hobbies. He took us to a local coffeehouse, a local market to sample many fruits, and then to a fine restaurant for dinner. He listened carefully to what we would have liked to see and took us to the Botero Museum, which was on our list. We talked a lot. After Bogotá, he arranged a private driver for us on our way from Pereira to Salento, Manizales, and finally to Medellín. He looked after us all the time, asking if everything was ok. He was caring and willing to help if needed.
Thanks to Carlos, our trip in central Colombia was easy, comfortable and safe.

Una experiencia que va mucho más allá de un tour turístico . Si estás buscando la mejor manera de descubrir Bogotá de verdad, este tour es exactamente lo que necesitas. Tuvimos la suerte de hacer el recorrido por el Centro Histórico, Monserrate, el Museo del Oro y La Candelaria con Carlos. Desde el primer momento transmitió una pasión genuina por su ciudad que resultó completamente contagiosa. No recitaba datos de memoria: contaba historias, anécdotas y detalles que no encontrarás en ninguna guía de viaje, y que hacen que cada rincón de Bogotá cobre vida de una manera diferente. Con sus explicaciones, la subida y las vistas desde la cima adquirieron un significado completamente nuevo. El Museo del Oro nos dejó con la boca abierta: nos llevó por las piezas más importantes explicandolas de una forma fascinante y cercana. Y La Candelaria se convirtió en un barrio que queríamos explorar durante horas, con sus murales, su arquitectura colonial y sus calles llenas de historia.
