Salim was recommended to us by The Chedi hotel. He was a fantastic guide, adapting our itinerary on the fly, listening to what we wanted to do and coming up with excellent solutions. His English is perfect, he has excellent knowledge of Omani history and the areas of interest around Muscat. He can position his information within the context of both current affairs and history which made his stories and information feel even more relevant. We went to the desert with him for quad-biking and a little dune-bashing. Then he took us to Wadi Bani Khalid for a gorgeous mini-hike and swim. Remember to wear good trail shoes!
I would highly recommend Salim as a guide for any excursion. The combination of his knowledge, curiosity and friendliness makes him one of the best guides we have ever had. My wife and son 100% agree!
