3D2N KINABATANGAN SUKAU TOUR

Day 1 - SANDAKAN AIRPORT/ORANGUTAN CENTRE /SUNBEAR CENTRE/SUKAU

Pick up from Sandakan airport in the morning. Drive to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Take a walk on the boardwalk to the Outdoor Nursery to see the youngs released to play on the ropes tied from tree to tree as part of their outdoor activity.

Proceed to the feeding platform for the 10am feeding. Then we proceed to the Bornean Sunbear Conservation Centre to see the smallest bear in the world.

Afterwards, we drive to Sukau for 2 hours.

Check-in to a lodge, take a teabreak before heading to the river for a 2 hours cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife such as Proboscis Monkey, Macaques, Hornbills, Kingfishers, Crocodiles and many other wildlife.

Dinner at the lodge.

In the evening after dinner, go for the night cruise to search for nocturnal animals such as the owl, civet cats, crocodiles, etc.

Day 2 - KINABATANGAN

Early morning cruise to experience the morning ambience of the river. While cruising along the river, we have the opportunity to see wildlife waking up from their slumber the night before. Return to the lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast, there is the opportunity to do a short jungle walk to have a feel how its like to be in the forest.

Lunch at the lodge and a short rest between lunch and teabreak before the river cruise.

Another 2 hours river cruise in the afternoon. This time, we head to the opposite direction of the river from the day before.

Overnight at the lodge.

Day 3 - KINABATANGAN/SANDAKAN/AIRPORT

Breakfast in the morning.

Check-out, drive back to Sandakan. On the way, visit the largest caves in Sabah, Gomantong Caves. Spend about 1 hour exploring the caves. Continue the journey to Sandakan.

Stop by at the Proboscis monkey sanctuary for a chance to view the proboscis monkey at close range.

Lunch break.

After lunch, we stop by at Rainforest Discovery Centre to experience the bird view of the forest from the canopy walk.

Late afternoon, drive to the airport or hotel where you stay.
