Tour of the Gallery of 19th and 20th century European and American art (the Pushkin Museum of fine arts)

Language English
Cost 140 USD for tour/excursion
Capacity Group of up to 5 people
Duration 2 hours

The gallery displays impressionist and post-impressionist art and also avant-garde works of the beginning of the 20th century. Here you will find exhibits representing different movements in European art of the 19th-20th centuries: romanticism, academism, realism, symbolism, abstract art and works of other directions.

The exposition of the gallery is mostly based on two former private collections of the late 19th-early 20th centuries. The collections belonged to major Russian industrialists - Sergey Shchukin and Ivan Morozov. Those two remarkable art gatherers knew many artists personally and acquired first-class works from them on a constant basis.

The pride of the gallery is the works by Claude Monet, August Renoir, Alfred Sisley, Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Paul Gaugin, Vincent Van Gogh, Andre Derain and Henri Rousseau. Here you will find excellent paintings by Picasso and representatives of other European schools.

The gallery also exhibits works of American art.

A visit to the gallery is highly recommended. You will enjoy every moment there!

The price above includes entrance tickets to the permanent exposition for 5 people and the guide's services. The price will be smaller if there are fewer people in the group.
