1st day: Casablanca- Chefchaouen.

We will greet you at the airport and drive to Casablanca then to Chefchaouen. In Casablanca, you will see the Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Morocco, and experience the coastal “Cornish” seaside. Afterward, we’ll drive to Chefchaouen via the Rif Mountains and Wazzan. We will be in Chefchaouen afternoon.

2nd day: Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen is a real unique beautiful small Rif mountains town and a hot destination for Europeans, especially the young. Besides the rich history, it offers many native handicrafts that are not available elsewhere in Morocco, such as wool garments and woven blankets. The goat cheese native to the area is popular all over the north of Morocco. The city tour of Chefchaouen at leisure on foot to explore the beautiful town blue and white houses and streets. We will visit the historical Kasbah there, also a cooperative of goat cheese, and an apiary.

3rd day: Chefchaouen-Fes

After breakfast, you will start driving passing a lot of towns and villages. We will shift our way to Meknes city, which is one of the four imperial cities in Morocco, and its Medina which is a UNESCO world heritage site, there where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, Bab El Mansour. Then drive directly to the city of Fes, where you will spend the night.

4th day: Fes sightseeing. Wednesday 19

After breakfast, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys. Our visit includes the Royal Palace Gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, Al Qaraouien University, which is the oldest in the world, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative then enjoy a panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes through a tower.

5th day: Fes- Ifrane- Midelt- Ziz valley- Merzouga- Camel ride and night in a camp.

We will pick you up from your Riad/ hotel then drive towards Ifrane (which is the Switzerland town of Morocco) through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Afterward, we will drive to the biggest cedar forest in Africa to see the Barbarian Apes (monkeys). Traveling through the Tizi N Talghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas Mountains and the scenery changing from time to another. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley then Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, you’ll cross sand dunes by camels with stops to enjoy the magic sunset from atop of a dune in a peaceful atmosphere before you arrive at the camp where you’ll spend a lovely night under a starry sky. Dinner and night will be in the camp.

6th day: Merzouga.

After waking up to enjoy the sunrise on top of a dune nearby the camp, you’ll ride back the camels to the hotel and have breakfast and shower. Then, you will start your journey visiting an oasis that is irrigated with an underground irrigation system then leave to Rissani to visit the biggest local market in the southeast of Morocco ( if it is a day market). Later on, you will carry on your journey visiting nomads and share a cup of tea with them. Afterward, you will have a special lunch in Khamlia village which is Berber Pizza(Medfouna), and visit the Gnawa people, listening to their music which is Gnaoua Music. Then to the hotel and have free time.

7th day: Merzouga–Dades valley- Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou-Marrakech.

After breakfast, we will drive toward Erfoud, which is the capital of fossils, where you will have the chance to discover different fossils and minerals that are found in that area, especially ammonites, trilobites, and starfishes… etc. Afternoon, we will drive to Tinghir, which was considered the capital of Moroccan Jewish. There where we will enjoy Todra valley from panoramic views than to Dades Valley. We will head towards Kelaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate taking the road of a thousand Kasbahs. The first stop will be in Rose’s town which is Kelaat Mgouna, where an annual festival takes place each May. Then, drive to Ouarzazate which is the “Hollywood of Africa” where a lot of international films have been shot such as Gladiator, the mummy, Kingdom of Heaven… especially, in the largest and famous village of Kasbahs in Morocco which is Ait Ben Haddou village. After visiting, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains which are the highest Mountains in Africa with an altitude of 4167 m but on the way, it will be 2260m with stops to see Berber villages and different landscapes. The night will be in Marrakech.

8th day: Marrakech.

After breakfast, today, meet your City guide and set off on a morning tour of the old medina, through the bustling souks that are the lifeblood flowing through the city. Explore tranquil courtyards filled with the scent of orange blossom, and the many salons and chambers that makeup Bahia Palace. This splendid mansion was built in 1866 for a former slave who rose to power within the government. Continue to the Marrakech Museum, itself a former palace, which houses a fine collection of Moroccan art and sculpture. Stop by the Koutoubia Mosque; its famous minaret is the prototype for others of its kind around the world, including La Giralda in Seville. Then walk back through the streets of the old medina to the Jemaa el Fna. The rest of the day is free to explore further or shop in the bazaar. Perhaps visit the tropical gardens of the French painter Jacques Majorelle or check out the ruins of the Palais Badi, once one of the most beautiful palaces in the world. Otherwise, perhaps head back into the medina, where every step brings a new smell, a new sight, or a new gift to buy. Watch skilled artisans perfect their craft practice your haggling skills or take a break from the hustle to sip on tea or share a Tajine, filled with the pure scent of Morocco.
