Panamá Viejo today is an archeological site with a museum in Panamá city. Definitely worth to visit for the views and perspective it provides.
It is possible to visit on your own at your own pace, but hiring me to be your guide will make it a significant enriched experience if you like to hear about the historical context and walk around with a nature and culture interpreter; or if you're traveling alone and looking for a companion.
Site and museum are open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Tour with me available starting 8:30am to 12:30pm for morning tour or 1:30pm to 5:30pm for afternoon tour.
Non resident adults fee is 17.00 USD to be paid at site, includes archeological park, museum, internal transportation, monuments and Cathedral tower viewpoint - yes, we can go to the top of the Cathredral tower shown on the picture.
Non resident children fee is 5.00 USD and university students with ID is 7.00 USD
After the visit, I will invite to visit along with me in the vicinity of San Francisco, we will visit Parque Omar to show you one of public recreational park the city of Panama offers to its citizen for over 30 years now, step into the modern city and take a look to support the national libraryy - Librería Nacional de Panamá Ernesto Castillero works and meet all the preservation work is done here, available from Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, free admission.
Parque Omar is also free admision and has several sports areas and about 3 km walking/biking path around this former golf course, that now is for the enjoyment of the public where people go to exercise meet some of the native and inserted tropical trees of the world. Is open dialy from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
