Subtropical Barcelona is located on several hills, which have become the names of many urban areas, on the Mediterranean coast. The highest hill in the city is Mont Taber (12 meters), it is no coincidence that Barcelona Cathedral is located on it!

But we are interested in other heights - we are going to conquer the mountains to admire Barcelona from a bird's eye view! And we start our flight in the cable car from the Teleferic del Port tower, which rises above the old port. This shuttle will take 10 minutes to hover over the port, the Ramblas (yes, the plural, because in fact, these are 5 streets that most tourists consider 1 long Rambla), the Poble Sec area, and take us first to the middle level of Montjuic, and then to its summit (173 meters), where there is a 17th-century fortress, a historic cemetery and stunning panoramic all-round views of the sea, port, and city.

So, the first peak is conquered and we go down on foot, observing the numerous Olympic objects along the way and admiring the beautiful and varied parks and gardens, of which there are a great many on the mountain, and they are all unique and picturesque. If you wish and have time, we can visit some of them on the way to the Grand Palace with a cascade of fountains, and the most important fountain in Barcelona, and perhaps the whole of Spain - the Magic Fountain, where every evening in the summer an impressive music and light show takes place under the spray of singing water.

And from here we will outline our next ascent - Mount Tibidabu (512 meters), which is located opposite Montjuic.

Having risen there by funicular, we will find ourselves at the foot of the Sacred Heart Temple (Temple Expiatori del Sagrad Cor) with one of the best viewing platforms in the city, from where we will see Montjuic again, but now from the side, the city itself with its dominants - the Sagrada Familia and the Akbar tower, and the endless sea on the horizon.

If you wish, you can visit the amusement park, located ironically next to the temple.

Well here's 2 more heights in your pocket!

Set off to conquer new heights!
