Guatape is a charming town located on the shores of the stunning Guatape Reservoir. It is famous for its brightly painted houses and its iconic rock, which we visit and climb for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Then we visit the town also known for its lively street festivals, traditional food, and friendly people.

After a nice walk in the historical center, we go for a boat trip on the lakes, visiting the mansions of the rich and famous, including "Finca La Manuela," one of the properties owned by Pablo Escobar. La Manuela was seized by the Colombian government after Escobar's death in 1993, like many of his properties. The mansion fell into disrepair and was abandoned for many years.

After having a delicious typical meal at the main square, we head back to Medellín arriving late afternoon. The whole trip duration is about 8 hours, Minimum number of travelers: 2. In case of more people, the price per person is less. Contact me for more details.
