Tsum Valley is a unique region located in the Trans Himalayan area of Northern Gorkha. The valley borders Tibet, and is surrounded by the Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal, and Boudha ranges. Visitors to this valley will have the opportunity to witness a variety of unique cultures, including the practice of polyandry (having more than one husband).

The local Tibetan people speak a distinct dialect and celebrate unique festivals, including mask dances and saka dawa. Tsumbas, the people in Tsum valley, originally belonged to Tibet. They have their own ancient form of art, culture and tradition and language.

Tsum valley lies at the altitude of 4060m and is highly protected by Manaslu Conservation Area. Authorities opened the valley publicly to all trekkers in 2008, and since then, tourism in the area has gradually developed. Tsum valley holds a great traditional and historical values especially to Buddhist and Tibetan people. The valley divides into two parts, Upper Tsum and Lower Tsum. The Tsum Valley Trek is a must-visit destination for adventurous travelers.
