Suzhou, a historical city near Shanghai. Famous for its UNESCO World Heritage classical gardens, historic architecture, thousands of years of canals run through the city, ancient streets, and local cuisine, the city immerses visitors in traditional culture. Stay overnight in a historic garden complex for special experience.

Garden Explorations

Pick two classic scholar gardens with different vibes—maybe the grand Humble Administrator's Garden and the more intimate Lingering Garden. Then escape the crowds at peaceful Yi Pu Garden to glimpse old Chinese scholar life.

Canal Cruise

Hop on a hand-rowed boat for a quiet glide through Pingjiang Road's historic canals. Watch daily life unfold along the waterways.

Tea & Bites

Sip fresh tea while nibbling soup dumplings and local snacks in a centuries-old courtyard house.

Neighbourhood and Old City Stroll

Wander Shantang Street's back alleys where locals gather and live.

Temple Moment

Find quiet under Temple's ancient bell tower—perfect for a few minutes of calm.

Overnight

Stay in an old Chinese garden–converted boutique hotel, visit Suzhou at night to see the city sparkle, then wake early as the watertown gently comes to life.

Notes

The above itinerary is only for reference. There are more experiential activities to do in Suzhou depending on your interests, such as traditional photography in Chinese clothing, exploring gem museums and shops, or listening to opera while dining, etc.
