Donald McLENNAN is a local private tour guide in Botswana, South Africa, Namibia

I was born to British and South African Parents, and in Kuala Lumpur, Malaya in 1957. I grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). From an early age I spent most of my spare time in the wilderness learning to survive and how to hunt and when I was not in school. When I graduated from High School, I joined the Police Force and after specialist training I was stationed in the deep rural areas. There was a Bushwar going on at the time, so, I found myself playing the role of a Para-Military Police Officer. Once the war was over, I decided to leave Zimbabwe and go to South Africa to be a Game Ranger. Once I was there I discovered that I was under-qualified to be a Game Ranger. so after trying other civilian jobs I reverted to Tour Guiding and found it to be most rewarding. Since then I have been in Tourism. I am a Wilderness Guide in that I do Angling Tours and organise Hunting. I also do Safaris in the Wilderness parks as well as being a History and Cultural Guide within South Africa.
