Wadi Mibam and sinkhole Adventure
It is located at the far edge of Wadi Tiwi, another popular destination. Wadi Mibam has grown in popularity in recent years.
Mibam has beautiful waterfalls, lush green gardens, and crystal-clear pools, but the excitement only begins as you descend towards the wadi, which is even more picturesque than the wadi itself, passing through narrow roads slicing through small villages barren mountains and harrowing cliffs. Many describe Mibam as paradise rediscovered, from crawling down giant rocks to swimming in cool, emerald waters to diving in breath-taking nature water pools.
In the villages of Mibam, agriculture is the main source of income. They grow a variety of fruit and crops, including dates as their primary crop, but during the weekends, everything comes to life because hikers and outdoor lovers visit Mibam during the weekends because of its grand beauty that is starting to rival Wadi Shab and Wadi Bani Khalid. So be sure to include Mibam on your bucket list when visiting Sultanate of Oman.
On our way back to Muscat after lunch, we will stop at the Bimmah Sinkhole Lake. This lake, located between Dhabab and Bimmah village and only 600 m away from the sea, is known for its stunning turquoise waters. Measuring 50 m by 70 m wide and approximately 20 m deep, this amazing sinkhole was created when the surface layer collapsed due to the dissolution of the limestone beneath it. To ensure its preservation, the local municipality has developed a park in the area. Swimming is possible in this incredible lake.
Then We head back to Muscat from Bimmah Sinkhole.
