Far from the hustle and bustle of the Vatican Museums, here you’ll really enjoy another highlight of your Roman visit : the Capitoline Museum, the oldest in the world, whose collection started in 1471 thanks to Pope Sixtus IV who decided to donate to the Roman citizens some of the most precious statues coming from the Roman times. In these quiet buildings you’ll admire beautiful paintings, rich rooms decorations, ancient relieves, marble and bronze statues which make this museum one of the best in the city, right on top of the Capitoline Hill Square, fully re-designed by Michelangelo in mid 16th century, guarded by the imposing statue of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius. An excellent choice for demanding visitors. After the visit, back to the hotel with your private car. This is a private tour, only your group will participate.
