Language English
Cost 1793 USD for tour/excursion
Capacity 1 person
Duration 5 days

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe International Airport.

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your Around Africa Safaris guide. Having passed immigration and luggage collection please exit the arrival hall and look out for your Around Africa Safaris guide who will be holding up a signboard with your name and featuring our logo. You will then be transferred to your guesthouse, taking about 10 - 20 minutes depending on the traffic. Overnight at Karibu Guest House [B&B]

Day 2: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park.

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park, with a brief stopover at the Equator for a fun photo opportunity. Lake Mburo’s distance from Kampala is 242 km which makes it a perfect stop over between Kampala and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. The drive from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park takes between 4-5 hours.

In the Afternoon, you will have a shared boat trip and return to the lodge in time for dinner. Overnight at Rwakobo Rock [FB]

Day 3: Transfer from Lake Mburo National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving at the lodge (Buhoma Community Haven Lodge) in the evening.

Haven Lodge is perched on top of the valley overlooking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The view is absolutely stunning and the best place to enjoy apes-tracking cocktails. Bird watching and sometimes primate viewing is possible right from the front door of your room. Overnight at Buhoma Community Haven Lodge [FB]

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking

Wake up relatively early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for your Gorilla Trek. Before 7:45 am, report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers; the guides will then take you through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. The trek can take from half an hour to 7 hours – a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. In the afternoon depending on your trek, if you come back early and you have the energy you may have an optional community walk. Overnight at Buhoma Community Haven Lodge [FB]

Day 5: Depart for Entebbe.

After breakfast, your safari guide will transfer you back to Entebbe, with a stopover for a hot lunch in Mbarara town & connect with your outbound international flight.

Please note that check-in for international flights should be done 2 hours prior to departure of the flight. In the departure hall (after check-in), you will find a small restaurant, a sitting area and several duty-free shops for your convenience.
