6 Days Biking Congo Nile Trail

After your breakfast settle on bikes, this a day ride along Lake Kivu and various villages with different plantation via the waterfall of Cyimbiri through rural settlements in the small fishing village of Nkora and Rwinyoni coffee washing station.

Surfaces: Dirt road

Lunch Stops at Kora fishing village.

Overnight: Kinunu

DAY 2 - KINUNU TO BUMBA

This is the most challenging day but also the most beautiful us we get to understand the reason why named the Congo Nile Trail. We shall be crossing KOKO River one of the rivers that forms the Congo river. Ride along the lake for long and passing through plenty of banana plantation used to make banana beers. After Koko river we ride the difficult up to Bumba base camp

Surfaces: Dirt road

Overnight: BUMBA

DAY 3 - BUMBA TO KIBUYE.

Here we have two options: Easy and Challenging one

1. EASY: Bumba-Kibuye via SURE 31km and 800m for altitude gain.

2. CHALLENGING: Bumba-Kibuye via Mukura forest 62km and 1700m for Altitude gain.

DAY 4 - KIBUYE TO MUGONERO

40km

DAY 5 - MUGONERO TO NYAMASHEKE

60km

7 to 8 hours

DAY 6 - NYAMASHEKE TO KAMEMBE (Rusizi)

Last day of your ride and shall start from our accommodation to heading Kamembe. Will shall be ascending and descending for many places also riding in different plantation. Rice and cassava plantation along the lake and different fishing villages.

Cycling Distance: 51km. You will later embark on your vehicle to Kigali International Airport.
