Giraffe Center + Karen Blixen + Carmivore restaurant./ Bomas of Kenya

A few moments from your hotel you will get up close and feed a giraffe and visit legendary home of Karen Blixen, creator of “Out of Africa.” Karen Blixen Museum was made famous by the hit movie “Out of Africa” starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford; in this plantation homestead is where the story in the film began at an expansive farmhouse and is the grounds where Karen Blixen established a coffee plantation and spent good time with her lover, the English hunter, Denys Finch-Hatton.

Karen Blixen, set a farmhouse on a plantation at the foot of the Ngong Hills, where she chronicled her time in colonial Africa in her renowned literary works. We will learn much more about Kenya’s colonial history too.

The Giraffe Center

Giraffe Centre is a refuge for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe; we’ll learn about this beautiful species as special Information.

Upon arrival, you can climb up the feeding platform and hand-feed the food pellets to an inquisitive giraffe. Some lucky visitors have been known to get a giraffe tongue kiss!

What a beautiful sight to behold feeding and touching giraffes at eye level one on one!

You may also find yourself surrounded by dozens of schoolchildren, as this is a favorite outing for Kenya’s youngsters.

Bomas of Kenya – Cultural Center

Bomas of Kenya is the national platform for Kenya’s mosaic traditional dancers showcasing the rural country lifestyle of every community in Kenya.

The dancing repertoire consists of over 40 dances from different ethnic communities.

Yes, with live percussion, string and wind instruments, and diverse, authentic, and energetic dancing, they take you on a journey through Kenya’s past and present.

From Western Kenya and the shores of Lake Victoria (Nyanza) through Rift Valley, Central and Eastern Kenya to North-eastern and Coastal Kenya, the daily shows display an array of diverse musical and dance traditions.

Some of the dances you can experience include the impressive Maasai Eunoto dance,

Kikuyu Circumcision dance, the spectacular Chuka drummers, Coastal Sengenya and Gonda dances, Swahili Taarab, Nubi, Dho Luo dance, and many more.

Later visit the village homes of every tribe at the nearby housing set-ups just around.

You will crown the day with a visit to experience famous gourmet of international cuisine at the Carnivore Restaurant!

From Thursday to Sunday, the daily shows also feature the fabulous Mambo Jumbo acrobats, who showcase their best skills of acrobatics, including balancing, rope skipping, juggling, fire limbo, etc.
