Mount Kilimanjaro trekking via Machame Route

Language English, French
Cost 1850 USD for tour/excursion
Capacity Group of up to 10 people
Duration 1 week 2 days

Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain and a member of the “Seven Summits”. Many trekking inthusiasts would love to summit the snow-capped peak located just 300 kiloleters south of the equator line. The seven-day Machame variation is the ideal schedule for this challenge. Through the Machame route, the trek from Barranco to Barafu is broken up into two days, allowing for a short day just prior to the summit attempt trek day. This is important because summit day begins very early, around midnight, so climbers are sleep-deprived going into the toughest day on the trek. By having a short day beforehand, climbers can be better rested.
