I pick you up from the airport and we set off heading to the old city to visit the worldwide famous iconic historical highlights of Istanbul which are located on Sultanahmet Square within walking distance from each other. We get off our car and start our walking tour visiting the ancient Roman Hippodrome - the entertainment center of Constantinople, where chariot races, sport competitions, riots and political debates took place.
Then we will visit the Blue Mosque -one of the most prominent landmarks of the city and the greatest feat of Ottoman achitecture, impressing the visitors with its domes, courtyards and its magnificent blue Turkish tiles adorning the interior.
Next we descend to the Basilica Cistern - one of the largest and well-preserved underground reservoirs of Constantinople. Walking along the paths among the columns we dive into the medieval atmosphere of Constantinople and explore the secret of the two heads of Medusa The Gorgon lying under two columns in the far corner of the cistern.
After visiting the Basilica Cistern, we will head to the Hagia Sophia Museum - a worldwide famous masterpiece of Byzantine architecture, the symbol of the "golden age" of the Byzantine Empire. It impresses the visitors with its scale and beautiful interior and mosaics.
After touring the historical sites of the old city we take our car and head to Eminonu pier to take the boat for a cruise along the Bosphorus. You can relax aboard the boat enjoying the picturesque shores of the Bosphorus. During our cruise accompanied by the seagulls along the Bosphorus, you will enjoy the picturesque costlines of the strait, see the splendid Ottoman imperial palaces and mosques, elegant wooden seaside mansions, suspension bridges connecting Asia and Europe.You will feel relaxed, refreshed and get rid of your flight fatigue. Finally, we end our tour visiting the Spice Market and drive you back to the airport on time to catch your connecting flight.
