TRIP OVERVIEW
Panauti is a historical place found in Nepal. It is another artistic town after Kathmandu, as it was given as dowry by Bhupatindra Malla to her sister, a small state as a gift. Panauti has a population under 10,000. It used to be a ancient salt trade hub between Tibet and India.
It is old fashioned and interesting destination in Nepal. It is also the oldest towns in Nepal, that are still present till this day dating back to the 15 century or earlier.
It is perhaps a very good route for hiking, which consist trails uphill,downhill and through the field. This is basically the oldest town in Nepal, so many sculpture and artistic monuments.
While knowing the history of the place you also can enjoy the pleasing view through hike and stay healthy.
Day itinerary :
6:45 Am: Meeting at Thamel
7:00 Am: Drive to Panauti
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hiking from Panauti to Nagi Dada back to Panauti via Kageswori.
5:15 PM - Drive back to Thamel
