Trip Of Foreign Visitors To Guba Memorial Complex

In 2007, a mass grave accidentally discovered during construction excavations in the city of Guba was a clear evidence of the genocide of the Muslim population of Guba committed by bandit Armenian gangs under the guise of Bolsheviks in May 1918. In order to convey these truths to the world community, to protect the national memory of the future generations of the Azerbaijani people, and to perpetuate the memory of the victims of the genocide, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev decided to establish the "Genocide Memorial Complex" in the city of Guba by his decree dated December 30, 2009. The Memorial Complex was built in 2012-2013 in the city of Guba on the left bank of Gudyalchay, in the area of the former stadium, and was opened on September 18, 2013. The total area of the complex is 3.5 hectares and consists of 5 parts.
