Commencing at 8:00 am, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza to Embark on a full-day tour of the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. This museum is a treasure trove, showcasing the most significant and precious items of Egyptian art in the world. With a rare collection of over 18,000 genuine artifacts dating back as far as 7000 years, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen – A collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry that lay undisturbed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before their discovery in 1922.
Then visit The Grand Egyptian Museum, where you will see:
-The Hanging Obelisk that belongs to King Ramses II (1297 B.C). This is the first hanging obelisk in the world and a museum masterpiece.
– The colossal statue of King Ramses II. The statue is made of granite from Aswan quarries and weighs 100 Tons.
-Two statues of an unknown Ptolemaic King and Queen (300 B.C.), where you can see a mix of ancient Egyptian and Greek art.
-10 identical statues of King Senusert (200 B.C)
-The Victory Columns of King Meren Ptah, the son of King Ramses II, celebrate the military victory of the king and the number of prisoners and the animal he brought to Egypt after defeating the enemy forces. It is a fantastic piece of art and history
Next, we'll explore The Grand Staircase, which is adorned with a wide variety of beautiful statues from different periods of time. These statues symbolize the ancient Egyptian belief in the journey towards eternity and immortality, making it a fascinating part of our tour.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
