The Giant Baobab lands
Baobabs, with their immense size and poetic shape, have always been the subject of legends. The sight of this majestic tree instantly stirs your imagination and curiosity, raising many questions. According to local legend, the gods found baobabs a bit too proud, so they sought to diminish their grandeur by planting them upside down. Madagascar is the only place in the world where you can see six types of baobabs, out of the eight types that exist globally. In the southwestern part of the island, you can explore more of these remarkable trees along Baobab Avenue.
I highly recommend visiting this wonderful baobab forest with me. I will show you the best spots and share the local culture with you. To make your tour unforgettable, I will take you to visit the Kirindy Forest Reserve, home to lemurs, various other animals, and flora. As we walk through the forest, you'll have the chance to see brown lemurs, sifakas, birds, amphibians, boas, and much more in a two-hour experience. We'll end the day at the famous Baobab Avenue to witness the sunset.
We will do everything to ensure you see what you wish in Madagascar. I know the area well and will be your private tour guide throughout the journey.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Antananarivo
Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
If time allows, we can visit the city.
Day 2: Antananarivo - Morondava
Flight from Antananarivo to Morondava.
Settle into the hotel and visit a nearby fishing village.
Day 3: Kirindy Forest - Baobab Avenue
7:00 AM: Depart from the hotel, driving through a dry, dusty forest for 1.5 hours to reach Kirindy.
8:30 AM: Begin a walk through the forest to observe wildlife, including lemurs.
Lunch will be served.
On the way back, we will stop at the following sites:
Sacred Baobab
The “Baobabs in Love”
Baobab Avenue for the sunset
7:00 PM: Drive back to the hotel (30-minute drive).
Day 4: Morondava - Antananarivo
Transfer to the airport for a flight back to Antananarivo.
Transfer to your hotel in Antananarivo.
