Iitinerary

Day 1: May 25 – Arrival Morondava, Culture & Wildlife

9:35 AM: Pickup at Morondava Airport; 20-minute drive to the city.

• Visit the CEM Morondava handicraft workshop to see local artisan work.

• Explore the bustling local market, including the vibrant fish market for fresh catches.

Drop off at your hotel (Chez Maggie) for check-in and lunch.

Afternoon: Drive to the Catholic church Center farm to learn about spirulina production. Continue to Kimony Resort (about 30-45 minutes away) for sightings of ring-tailed lemurs, crowned (coronatus) lemurs, brown lemurs, red-fronted lemurs, and endemic tortoises in their natural habitat.

Return to Anosy Kely by late afternoon; relax and enjoy the sunset views.

Day 2: May 26 - Sunrise, Fishing villages & Baobab Sunset

Early Morning: Depart for Baobab Avenue for sunrise (around 6 AM, 45-minute drive each way), and witness the iconic trees silhouetted against the dawn sky. Return to Morondava for breakfast at your hotel.

Morning: Visit Betania fishermen village; take a local canoe through the mangroves to observe daily life and birdlife.

Lunch: Picnic served on Betania Beach (included).

2 PM: Return to the hotel to freshen up.

3 PM: Drive to Baobab in Love (the Lovers' Baobabs ;); stop at Baobab Avenue for the famous sunset (around 5:30-6 PM), with time for photos among the ancient giants. Return to the hotel by 7-8 PM.
