Overview of your Funchal tour:

In this journey I will be showing you the Eastern Side of our lovely Island.

You will see the old, alternative, magical roads that were used in the old times and were still being used in recent days.

These are roads in places where the old traditions still remain in the daily life of the locals. We will be able to present to you their perspectives as we travel throughout time.

You'll also see amazing views of the central mountains, then later the landscape over the north east coast and valleys of the island.

We will have several attractions where green will be predominant, due to the Laurissilva protected area, but also different colors from the flowers that we will come across during the tour.

This being said, we believe that you will have a wonderful time, you will see distinctive and unique landscapes, you will meet such lovely people and in the end you will have a great story to bring home.

Your Funchal tour itinerary

-We will start by leaving Funchal on the way to Pico do Areeiro, the third highest peak in Madeira, 1818 meters tall.

-Continuing this trip, we will go down to Ribeiro Frio where you'll have the opportunity to do a beautiful 45m hike throughout this (optional) path.

-Passing through valleys, mountains, and astonishing views, we will drive an off-road that'll take us to Santana.

Santana it's a mandatory stop on this trip, because of the old traditions and culture it presents, with the traditional houses and much more to see. There we can stop for an optional lunch.

-Then we will proceed to the Guindaste viewpoint, located in Faial, passing through Porto da Cruz and finally end in Ponta de São Lourenço, this being our last stop.

-At this point of the trip we will start our return by passing through Machico, Santa Cruz and Caniço, which are other places that we'll briefly go through as we head to Funchal, hence concluding this enchanting and unique experience.

Remember this itinerary can be customized.
