Rush Lake Trek Description
The Rush Lake Trek is an exhilarating journey through the heart of the Karakoram Range, offering trekkers a chance to experience some of the most stunning landscapes in Gilgit Baltistan. Starting from the village of Hoper in Nagar Valley, this trek takes you through diverse terrains, including lush meadows, rugged glaciers, and high-altitude passes.
On the first day, trekkers cross the Hoper and Barpu glaciers, reaching the campsite at Bericho Kor. The second day involves a steep climb to Chidin Harai, a beautiful meadow offering panoramic views of the Karakoram peaks, including Distaghil Sar and Kunyang Chhish. The final ascent to Rush Lake on the third day rewards trekkers with breathtaking views of the highest alpine lake in Pakistan, situated at an elevation of 4,694 meters (15,400 feet).
