Merzouga 3 days and 2 nights from Marrakech
Your adventure begins with a pick-up at 8:00 a.m. from your hotel in Marrakech, where your driver will take you to your 4x4 vehicle for the journey to Dades Valley. You’ll drive through the scenic **Tizi-n-Tichka pass** (2,260m) in the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying breathtaking views of the landscapes and Berber villages along the way. En route to **Ouarzazate**, you’ll have time to visit the **Ait Ben Haddou kasbah**, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and enjoy lunch. Afterward, the journey continues southeast through the **Skoura palmery** to the green **Dades Valley**, known for its rose-growing region. You’ll have dinner and stay overnight in Dades Valley.
The next morning, after breakfast, you’ll set off on the **Route of 1000 Kasbahs**, winding through colorful Berber villages and palm groves. About 45 km later, you’ll reach **Tineghir**, home to a lovely palm grove and a historic Jewish quarter. From there, you’ll drive on to the **Todra Gorge** (Toudgha), where you’ll have free time to trek along the stunning canyons, which rise 300 meters high and are a popular spot for rock climbers. Afterward, continue your journey toward the **Erg Chebbi dunes** in **Merzouga**, stopping for lunch along the way. Upon reaching **Erfoud**, you’ll head toward the dunes, where a warm welcome awaits you with a glass of mint tea at a hotel near the sand. From there, you’ll embark on a camel trek to the heart of the Sahara, watching the sunset from the top of the dunes. Return to the bivouac for dinner and spend the night in traditional desert tents, an unforgettable experience under the stars.
On the final day, rise early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the golden sand dunes of **Erg Chebbi**. After breakfast and mint tea, you’ll return to the hotel on camels, where you can freshen up before beginning your journey back to Marrakech. The route will take you through the **Dra’a Valley** and the ancient caravan paths of **Agdez**. You’ll arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation.
