Zagoura desert 2 days from Marrakech

In the morning, you'll begin your journey from Marrakech to Zagora, often referred to as the "door to the desert." You'll drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2,260m), offering stunning views along the way. Afterward, you'll pass Ouarzazate and travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountains before stopping for lunch in Agdez.

Following lunch, you'll continue along the ancient caravan route, which takes you into the heart of the Draa Valley. Here, you'll witness vast palm groves and traditional fortified villages that have stood for centuries. Continuing along the valley, you'll arrive at the Tinfi dunes, where you'll embark on a one-hour camel ride through the golden sands while watching the sunset paint the sky. Afterward, you'll be taken to your comfortable bivouac camp near Zagora, where you'll enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night under traditional nomadic tents.

Day 2: Zagora to Ait Benhaddou and Marrakech

After breakfast, you'll head back to Zagora for a relaxing break with mint tea and a chance to freshen up with a hot shower. Then, you'll continue your journey in a 4x4 vehicle, traveling along the Draa Valley and retracing the ancient caravan route.

Your first stop will be the famous Ait Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you'll have time to explore this iconic kasbah, which has been featured in numerous films. After lunch, you'll drive through the High Atlas Mountains. once again, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass On your way back to Marrakech. You’ll arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, completing your adventure.
