Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m/ 4593ft) - pickup as per your arrival time - transfer to hotel - trip meeting at Green Valley Nepal Treks office

Our agent will meet you at Tribhuwan International Airport. In addition to helping you check in, he will provide you a private transport to the hotel. You might choose to unwind at your hotel after a long travel or go exploring to find some of Kathmandu's lovely sights. You will meet your guide during your trek briefing on the Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary that takes place in the evening. He will provide you with any information you need regarding the trek as well as any equipment that is missing.

Day 2:Drive from Kathmandu (1400m/ 4593ft) to Pokhara (822m/ 2696ft) by Tourist bus

You will board a tourist bus to Pokhara after a leisurely breakfast; the trip might last 7 to 8 hours. Pokhara is considered the starting point for the Poon Hill to Mardi Himal Trek. Numerous springs and the picturesque Trishuli and Marsyangdi Rivers flowing next to the verdant Rocky Mountains may be seen throughout the route. We can also arrange for a direct flight for you from Kathmandu to Pokhara if you pay an additional charge.

This would enable you to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu in only 25 minutes, giving you more time to enjoy the Pokhara Valley. The Pokhara valley is home to several stunning lakes, including Begnas, Fewa, Rupa, Dipang, Maidi, Khaste, Gunde, and Nyureni. Views of the Annapurna, Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Lamjung Himal may be seen from the Pokhara Valley.

Day 3:Drive from Pokhara (822m/ 2696ft) to Birethanti (1263m/ 4143ft) then trek to Ulleri (1960m/ 6430ft)

The travel to Birethanti from Pokhara takes roughly 1.5 hours. Mardi Himal Trek via Poon Hill will begin in Birethanti, where you can reach by following Modi Khola. You will pass numerous local villages, teahouses, beautiful green rolling hills, rivers, and locals throughout the journey. After passing through the charming village of Hile, you will arrive in Tikhedhunga. The trail then starts to ascend pretty steeply on a stone staircase once you cross the suspension bridge. You will be in the sizable Magar village of Ulleri, where you can get a sight of Hiunchuli and Mount Annapurna South.

Day 4:Trek from Ulleri (1960m/ 6430ft) to Ghorepani (2880m/ 9448ft)

Your Ghorepani Poon Hill with Mardi Himal Trek Route will depart from Ulleri after a delectable breakfast. The route from Ulleri to Banthanti travels through rhododendron and oak woodlands. You will arrive at Nangge Thanti by following Bhurungdi Khola side by side. The portion of the adventure where you spend the majority of the day trekking through the jungle will be really exciting. If you schedule your Trek for the spring, you will see lots of rhododendron blooms, many wild birds and animals, and a stunning vista of numerous snow-capped mountains. You can reach Ghorepani after a short hike through the jungle. It's wonderful to stay in Ghorepani and enjoy the breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna.

Day 5:Trek from Ghorepani (2880m/ 9448ft) to Poon Hill (3210m/ 10,531ft) then Tadapani (2630m/ 8628ft)

From Ghorepani, a short hike will take you to Poonhill, where you can enjoy a magnificent panorama of the mountain ranges and a stunning sunrise. Poon Hill is the greatest vantage point along this path and is undoubtedly a photographer's aspiration. You can walk to the top of the hill, which is at a height of 3210m/ 10,531ft, in about an hour. From there, you can see the Himalayas, including the Annapurna, Bahari Shikhar, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, and other peaks.

After capturing enough incredible images of the sun rising over the mountains, you will return to the guesthouse in Ghorepani for a breakfast before continuing Mardi Himal Trek with Poon Hill towards Tadapani. The Ghorepani and Annapurna Circuit Trek is connected by a lovely woodland track that passes through forests of oak and rhododendron trees and leads to Deurali. Banthanti is reached by a route that descends through rhododendron woodland.

Then the route ascends and passes through a cane field to get to Bhurungdi Khola, after which it climbs once again via a series of steep woods for 20 minutes before arriving at Tadapani, another lovely settlement that offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna peaks.

Day 6:Trek from Tadapani (2630m/ 8628ft) to Landruk (1565m/ 5134ft) via Ghandruk (1940m/ 6364ft)

The journey from Tadapani to Ghandruk through oak and rhododendron woodland is relatively easy. Along the walk, wildflowers may be seen, which enhances the region's remarkable attractiveness. You will continue your Mardi Himal Poon Hill Trek via the Baisi Kharka to Ghandruk. Once you get to Ghandruk, you will be able to see Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machapuchare, Annapurna III, and Hiunchuli. A museum and a Buddhist monastery are among their many cultural attractions.

Its distinctive architectural design, with the majority of homes having stone walls and slate-tiled roofs, is what most fascinates people. From Ghandruk, the settlement of Landruk is ultimately reached after passing via the small village of Phedi and navigating the Modi River.

Day 7:Trek from Landruk (1565m/ 5134ft) to Low Camp (3050m/ 10,006ft)

To reach Forest Camp from Landruk, it is a steep trek through pine and juniper hamlets. As you travel further, you can see more of the high peaks. The forest camp is incredibly quiet and remote, with only a few simple and basic lodges scattered around. You will travel to Low Camp along the Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek route across moss and lichen-covered woodlands from Forest Camp. Rhododendron bushes dominate the landscape, and the horizon is adorned with breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri Mountain Peaks. Low Camp, like Forest Camp, features only a few simple lodges, and a sweeping vista of the Himalayan valley wraps up the atmosphere.

Day 8:Trek from Low Camp (3050m/ 10,006ft) to High Camp (3600m/ 11,811ft)

Your Ghorepani Mardi Himal Trek route will begin with Low Camp and travel via Badal Danda to High Camp. You must ascend through a rhododendron forest for one hour to reach Badal Danda. Although the routes are challenging, you will be rewarded with stunning views of Mardi Himal, Annapurna Range, and Machhapuchhre. The ridge gets thinner as you go up, and you can see the huge valleys on each side.

You will be facing the Modi Khola river valley to your left, which is bordered by communities that rise up to the Annapurna Sanctuary. You can see the Mardi Khola and Seti river valleys to your right. You can even see the Pokhara Valley on clear days. To get to High Camp, you must keep trudging along the ridgeline. On your trip to the high camp, if you are lucky, you could get the chance to witness Daphne, the national bird of Nepal.

Day 9:Trek from High Camp (3600m/ 11,811ft) to Mardi Base Camp (4500m/ 14,763ft) then return to Badal Danda (3250m/ 10,662ft)

In order to witness the sunrise over the mountains today, you will get up early. It will be the most memorable and challenging journey of your whole Poon Hill to Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary. The track is more difficult than you may imagine because of a series of rapid ascents that you must accomplish on uneven and steep steps. To go to Mardi Himal Base Camp, will take you around 5 hours. At the elevation of 4500 meters/ 14,763ft, reaching the base camp while traversing a lush, green, High Mountain will make you feel extremely accomplished.

You will also be captivated by the expansive panorama of the snow-capped mountain ranges of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, Annapurna I (8,091m/ 26,545ft), Annapurna III (7,555m/ 24,786ft), and Gangapurna (7,455m/ 24,458ft). You will travel down to Badal Danda to enjoy the floating cloud that goes through you after capturing those amazing and delightful views in your heart.

Day 10:Trek from Badal Danda (3250m/ 10,662ft) to Siding (1700m/ 5577ft) then Drive to Pokhara (822m/ 2696ft)

After spending some fantastic time at Badal Danda making amazing memories, admiring the breathtaking Himalayan views, and learning about the local ecosystem with its uncommon flora and fauna, it's time to descend to Siding village. The Mardi Himal Trek via Poon Hill's alternative route will descend to the amazing town of Siding rather than returning to Forest Camp. After eating lunch in Siding, you will go to Pokhara in a shared jeep. In Pokhara, you will have free time in the evening to go boating or explore the wonderful lakeside area.

Day 11:Drive from Pokhara (822m/ 2696ft) to Kathmandu (1400m/ 4593ft)

You will take a deluxe tourist bus through the Prithvi Highway from Pokhara to Kathmandu after breakfast. Depending on traffic, it takes 7 to 8 hours to go around 205 kilometers/ 127 miles. Along the way, you will pass through various landscapes and see the vibrant and busy bazaars of Damauli, Dumre, Mugling, etc. The Ghorepani Poon Hill with Mardi Himal Trek will be successfully concluded with a celebration that you will attend in the evening. Live ethnic music is available as you eat a typical Nepalese supper. You can purchase mementos to take home or take some photographs to remember your trip.
