Jakarta History and Art Tour

Language English
Cost 80 USD for tour/excursion
Capacity 1 person
Duration 7 hours

Let's embark on a fascinating journey to discover the history and art of Jakarta. We'll start by exploring the Old Town, a place that brings the past to life with its historic buildings and cobbled streets. Explore the Fatahillah Museum and Bank Indonesia Museum.

After that, we are going to Sunda Kelapa Old Harbor to witness VOC's first landing in Jayakarta, and the Maritime Museum, an interesting series of buildings that were once used by the Dutch East India Company. At the time, the buildings were used as warehouses for spices such as nutmeg, coffee and tea.

As an alternative, we can go to Museum Taman Prasasti (Memorial Stone Park). The museum was formerly a cemetery, built by the Dutch colonial government in 1795 as a final resting place for a noble Dutchman.

Our tour will finish at Sarinah, a big store. You can shop, eat, or enjoy the lively atmosphere. It's a great way to end our day of exploring Jakarta's history and art.
