Capacity Group of up to 5 people
Duration 1 day

Bhasmasur Hill, situated in the southern region of the Kathmandu Valley, stands tall as the third-highest peak in the vicinity and offers one of the most breathtaking viewpoints near Kathmandu City. From its summit, one can behold the majestic Himalayan ranges, stretching from the western Annapurna to the eastern peak of Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth. Additionally, the hill provides an incredible panoramic view of the Mahabharata hill ranges and the picturesque Kathmandu valley.

Begin on a day hike to Bhasmasur Hill requires a certain level of endurance, as the trail is relatively challenging. Few individuals are aware of this hidden gem, making it less crowded. The path consists of steep ascents and descents, interspersed with stone steps. Despite the difficulty, the trail is well-maintained and clean compared to other areas. The lush forests that surround the hill offer a wonderful opportunity to observe various species of birds and encounter wildlife along the way. As you ascend higher, the captivating view of the Kathmandu Valley and the panoramic mountains gradually unfolds.

For those seeking day adventures in the future, this day hike serves as an excellent training opportunity. Join me to experience great a day wilderness adventure in Kathmandu.
