Rome is the cradle of Christianity. In this full day tour you’ll discover some of the most important Churches with your guide. After your private pick up, you start by visiting St. Mary Major, the biggest church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, then the nearby St. Prassede and The Lady of Perpetual Help, with precious mosaics and the wooden Lady icon from the 15th century. Later we reach St. John in Laterano Basilica, the Roman cathedral, with the nearby Holy Steps of Jesus, brought to Rome by St. Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine, and the Baptistery where the same was baptized. We end by looking many important relics conserved in St. Cross in Jerusalem church brought to Rome by the same Empress, including thorns from Jesus crown, nail and wood from the Cross. Lunch time break ( lunch not included ). In the afternoon we go on the footsteps of St. Paul by visiting His Basilica outside the Wall, second largest church in Rome, containing His remains and the Three Fountains Abbey, place of His martyrdom. Then we stop in St. Peter Square in front of the Basilica and the Vatican State to admire the biggest church of the world fully rebuilt during the 16th century, in the same place where the Emperor Constantine had built the first church dedicated to St. Peter. On request, stop at a souvenir shop. After taking your unforgettable photos, we go back to the hotel with our driver. This is a private tour, only your group will participate.

Roma es la cuna del cristianismo. En este recorrido de un día entero, descubrirás algunas de las iglesias más importantes con tu guía. Después de tu recogida privada, comenzaremos visitando Santa Maria la Major, la iglesia más grande dedicada a la Virgen María, luego la cercana Santa Prassede y La Señora del Perpetuo Socorro, con mosaicos preciosos y el ícono de la Virgen de madera del siglo XV. Más tarde llegamos a la basílica de San Juan en Laterano, la catedral romana, con la cercana Escalera Santa de Jesús, traída a Roma por Santa Elena, madre del emperador Constantino, y el Baptisterio donde fue bautizada. Terminamos mirando muchas reliquias importantes conservadas en la iglesia de Santa Cruz en Jerusalén traídas a Roma por la misma Emperatriz, incluidas las espinas de la corona de Jesús, el clavo y la madera de la Cruz.
