Cost 340 USD for tour/excursion
Capacity Group of up to 10 people
Duration 8 hours

We will hike up Begunjscica, a ridge mountain which commands great views of other surrounding mountains and down to the Sava Valley from Lake Bled to Bohinj. The landscape is magnificent. On a clear day the cities of Ljubljana, Kranj, Bled, Lesce, Jesenice are all visible. It is also known as the mountain of a hundred ravines.

ITINERARY

Begunjščica is a 'stretched' mountain west of Tržič town. Steep meadows descend from its ridge to the south side and steep scree-slopes to its north side. The highest point of Begunjščica is Veliki Vrh. Our route crosses some ancient tunnels, stops at a cute alpine meadow with a nice hut and excellent local food and ascends steeply to a very panoramic ridge. A beautiful and diverse tour in the Karavanke mountain chain.
