Belgian Beer Tasting
Beer is an integral part of human history: we have been brewing beer for for 15 000 years, and it was part of the reason for humanity becoming sedentary, besides bread through agriculture.
Belgium is part of that human history, and has refined this fascinating natural biochemistry process, with so many traditional ways of producing beer and so many styles and tastes.
But why does such a small country have so many beers and styles? What flavours to expect from each style? How did Belgium become famous for its beer culture?
On this tour, I will tell you about all of that, while tasting and appreciating those beers that represent Belgian beerculture befittingly. To do this, we will try a selection of 3-4 beers per person, in different venues across the old city center. I picked the locations and beers to have variety and explore the spectrum of flavours, while telling you all about the process, history and stories behind it.
The price of the tour is my guide fee only, Tastings are paid on the spot by guests as this tour has a cost per person component.
