Food and history is who we are, is the story of my life in one sentence. Some people eat to live, I live to eat!
I grew up south-east of Brussels in Overijse, known as one of the towns of the Region of Grapes (Druivenstreek). I then came to study in Brussels at the VUB, went abroad on an exchange and learnt to appreciate the things I have at home, and then wanted to show it to others.
First on a volunteer basis to exchange students in Brussels (as a way of giving back for my wonderful exchange experience). But then I got bitten by the history bug, and boy, did it ferment and does it continue to do so in my brain...
I later decided to turn all that into my job. I am a tourguide for over 10 years now. Terrorist attacks, comfy job offers, and a pandemic could not keep me away from that.
