Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek – 17 Days Overview
The Dhaulagiri circuit trek is one of the longest and most adventurous treks. This trek takes us through all the high alpine pastures, uninhabited valleys, forests, cultivated terraced hills, and high windswept passes.
This trek includes crossing two high passes: the French Pass (5360m) and the Dhampus Pass (5200m). Additionally, it takes you to the Dhaulagiri base camp at an elevation of 4740m. Mount Dhaulagiri is the world’s 7th highest mountain peak standing at an elevation of 8167m.
The first group to ascend Mount Dhaulagiri was the Swiss expedition group on 1960 May 13. Dhaulagiri circuit trek is not only famous for its mountain views. It is also popular for its diverse culture. Additionally, the trek showcases rich vegetation such as pine, oak, ferns, and more.
