Ahmed Abu Tayeh
Private Local Tour Guide in
Japan

My name is Ahmed. I was born in Kuwait in 1982 and moved back to Palestine, where I got my Medical Degree (MD) in 2008. In 2015, I received a Japanese government scholarship to pursue my education in Japan. I was fortunate to get accepted into one of the top universities in Japan, Kyoto University.

With time, I started to realize that being accepted to Kyoto University was not a privilege on my scientific career path only. Instead, I found myself surrounded by many historic ancient temples and shrines and such beautiful scenery all around, experiencing the culture and history of a city that used to be the capital for more than 1000 years!

Living in Kyoto prompted me to recognize where my passion lies, what I aspire to be, and how I want to live in Japan in the years to come.

I enjoy traveling and have been to many countries in Europe and Asia before, so I decided to work as a tour guide here in Japan in 2015 and proceeded with my career development. Since then, I have been working with great enthusiasm and success.

I am a fan of culture, history, and food, so I can introduce you to the best of Japanese culture, provide a historical background about each place we visit, and recommend the best food options in Kyoto. I know how to make your visit to Kyoto a lifelong experience. I will show you why I believe Kyoto is Japan's most beautiful city.

I am fluent in English and Arabic, flexible, open-minded, and like having fun. I enjoy my work, enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences, and can communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Moreover, I can customize tours specifically for customers, such as day trips from Tokyo to Kyoto and back.

Book with confidence. . . . . . Tour with confidence

I cannot wait to show you Kyoto and its surroundings!
