  • I only changed a few words in my tour guide profile on your website, but it still hasn't appeared in the list of local private tour guides in my city. Why?

    When you add a local tour guide profile to our online platform or edit it a little, it has to be evaluated by our moderators before it appears in search results. If you added your profile recently but can't find it in search, it's likely that it still has to be evaluated - please stay patient. It can take a few hours, and during that time, you will see this notification in your profile in a web browser only (this status is not displayed in the mobile App)

    The moderation process may take a while but not more than 24 hours. Meanwhile, you can continue to edit your profile, add tours, and upload pictures and descriptions.

    Suppose after 24 hours, you still see this notification in your profile on the website. In that case, it means your profile has not passed moderation, and we sent you a notification in the App and on your registered email address with issue specifications and the recommendations for correction.

    Please check your spam folder because it is very likely the notification can land there; extract them from spam and mark them as 'Not Spam' to make sure they are delivered to your inbox in the future.

    When your profile is successfully moderated, you will receive a notification in the app on your smartphone and to the registered email address, and the text about the moderation will disappear from your profile. 

    From that time on, your profile will be published online and visible to all the visitors of the PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD platform.

  • Do tour guides need to be licensed to register on the PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD platform?

    Suppose your subscription has expired or your account is displaying as inactive on PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD. In that case, you can easily renew or reactivate it to continue enjoying the benefits of our platform. Here's how:

  • How can I post a TRAVELER REVIEW for a tour guide?

    Any tourist registered on www.pg.world can write a TRAVELER REVIEW for a tour guide. Follow these simple instructions:

    1. Open your tourist profile on www.pg.world.
    2. Find the tour guide you want to review.
    3. Scroll down the page to locate the REVIEW section at the bottom of the tour guide's profile. Alternatively, click the TRAVELER REVIEWS button below the tour guide's avatar photo.
    4. Write your review, ensuring it contains a minimum of 200 characters, then click the POST button.
    5. Your review will be published and visible on the tour guide's profile after moderation. You will receive a notification about its publication sent to your registered email address.

  • How can I switch on the notifications about new incoming messages?

    When a user receives a new message on the PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD platform, we immediately send two notifications to the sender and two notifications to the receiver. The first notification is sent to the user's registered email address, and the second is sent as a push notification in the mobile application. They will look like in the image below:

    To enable notifications for new incoming messages on the PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD platform, follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your profile on the application or website.
    2. Navigate to the SETTINGS section.
    3. Select the notifications you wish to receive.

    Users with a paid subscription enjoy significant privileges, including:

  • I do not receive notifications about new tourists' request. What is wrong?

    When you receive a new message on the PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD platform, we aim to notify you promptly through two channels:

    1. Push notification on your smartphone: To receive these notifications, please make sure you have downloaded and installed our Private Guide mobile app. You can download it for free by clicking on the appropriate icon below this answer. Once installed, navigate to Settings > Message Settings>, and here, you can customize your notification preferences.

    2. Email notification: Simultaneously with the app notification, we also send an email notification to your registered email address. If you don't receive these emails, please check your spam folder and mark them as 'Not Spam' to make sure they are delivered to your inbox in the future.

    To troubleshoot the issue, please follow these steps:

    1. Please make sure your app is updated to the latest version. If not, please uninstall and reinstall the app from the app store.

    2. You can customize your notification preferences in the app settings to make sure you're receiving the desired notifications.

  • Is the application free?

    Yes, Private Guide app is absolutely free. Travelers pay only for the tours personally to the guide.

  • Why my avatar picture was rejected?

    It happens that your profile does not pass moderation because of an inappropriate AVATAR photo and we kindly ask you to change your avatar picture. The picture has to be of good quality, your face has to be shown clearly and focused. You must be alone in this picture, to use other people's images is not allowed! Our service is for searching for Private Tour Guides so it is very important for our tourists to see what their tour guide looks like precisely, they are not happy to see your company logo or any other abstract image on avatar place. They do not care about any company, but they DO CARE about your look!
    And very often a good avatar picture becomes a reason why tourists choose one tour guide but not others!
    So now your profile was not moderated but rejected and it is not in search for tour guides in your city till the moment you change your avatar picture.

    When you are satisfied with your photo rotation and zooming please do not forget to press the green button ✅ as a validation of your final choice and then SAVE on the bottom of the page to save all the new information or pictures you added during the editing!

  • How do I delete my profile?

    You cannot delete your account in your personal member area by yourself. Send us an email (the address is given in "Contact us" at the bottom of the page), and within 30 minutes your page will be removed by the administration.

  • Why I can not send my answer to a tourist message?

    the problem is that your free trial period expired and now you need to pay annual membership for using PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD services including answering your tourist's inquiries!

    You need to log in to your profile on www.pg.world and go to the SUBSCRIPTION section, choose your country and follow simple steps to proceed with payment. As soon as you make it successfully your profile will become ACTIVE immediately and you will be able to use all of the options and functions of our online platform.
