WHAT TO DO IF YOU FORGET THE PASSWORD TO YOUR PROFILE ON THE PRIVATE GUIDE WORLD PLATFORM
The instructions apply to both tourists' and tour guides' profiles.
1. Open the login screen
On your phone or computer, open the Private Guide World App on Android or iOS, or visit the website at www.pg.world and navigate to the login form.

Usually, you tape the registered email address and your password there. But if the system refuses to accept them, the first thing you can do is press this enigmatic EYE icon in the password field. By pressing the eye that was sleeping until that moment, it will open surprisingly wide, and you will see the real letters, numbers, or symbols you put in place of the correct password.
For the next login to your profile, use the registered email address and a newly created password.
And believe us, usually the problem with access finishes at this step because you notice that instead of letter T, you occasionally pressed R - they are neighbors on the keyboards. This misprint is the most common one. You have to correct the incorrect symbols and insert the correct characters, and, of course, use the EYE again to double-check the result. You are lucky and got off with a quick scare! However, if the password does not appear unusual, unfamiliar, or suspicious, and you have no other means of logging in, proceed to step 2.
2. Start the restoration process
Under the login fields, you'll see a red sentence - a hyperlink that says FORGOT PASSWORD? Tap or click it.
If any online service rejects your password, the easiest and fastest solution is to renew it.
3. Enter your registered email address
On the next screen, type the same email address you used when creating your account.
⚠️ If you enter a different email, the system will notify you: "This email is not registered on the platform." In this case, try to recall all the emails you have used for login purposes. We, humans, typically have only 3-4 active email addresses, so it will not be difficult to try each one individually. However, if even this method does not work, you will need to contact our support team via email at support@pg.world and prepare to verify your identity. This situation is not fatal at all.
Use the EYE ICON to open the password word and double-check the spelling.
4. Complete the CAPTCHA
On the same screen where you print your emails, on the left, you'll see a 4-symbol code made of black capital letters and numbers. They could be displayed in a slightly disorienting way, so as not to be readable by bots or any other reading equipment. Do not be confused - being a human, you can read any scrappy handwriting. When entering letters, pay attention to upper or lower case. It is crucial.
Carefully complete the CAPTCHA.
Type the exact code into the field on the right, then read the short instructions below that explain your next few steps, and press the red RESET PASSWORD button. The next moment, you will receive a short push notification on your smartphone saying that we have sent you an email, and you must follow the instructions in that email.
To avoid missing crucial notifications from the service provider, we recommend checking the spam folder periodically.
On a laptop, this banner will appear at the top of the screen - you will not miss it. The email arrives within 1-2 minutes from the sent address no-reply@pg.world, which means you do not need to reply; however, the email arrival may depend on your mobile connection and network coverage. In any case, the time it takes for an email to arrive is minutes.
Check the email you received for further instructions and a link to restore the password.
5. Check your email inbox
Within one minute, you'll receive an email from us with detailed instructions that repeat what we have already learned now from this text, along with a unique long (up to 3-4 lines) reset link. Sometimes this email can land in a spam folder, so check your inbox and spam folders at this moment. All notifications we send out are in the language you used on our platform last time. The system remembers your previous language preference and sends you all technical and informative emails in this language for your convenience. This is why we recommend using the platform in your preferred language, which you can change at any time by clicking the upper right corner of every webpage.
Use the link in the received email to create a new password.
6. Click the link
Now, you see a long link with random letters and numbers - this is the link you should tap (or copy/paste into the search field of your favourite browser). The page that this link directs you to will already be on our platform; you will see the familiar, colorful exclamation mark, which indicates that you are safe.
On this recovery page, you can create a new password and repeat it in the lower field for confirmation.
7. Set your new password
You reached the final destination - you are on the Recovery Page, where you will find two blank fields. You must create a new password in the upper field. Do not use the password you previously used (even if it was a long time ago) - it will not be accepted. It must be a brand new one. Repeat the same new password in the second blank field. Note: The minimum number of characters in a password must be 8; the system rejects any password that is shorter than this.
Final accord - press the red SET NEW PASSWORD button.
8. Confirmation
If everything was entered correctly, you'll see a big green banner with a notification confirming that your new password has been created successfully.
After successfully creating a new password, you will receive notifications from us at your registered email address and a push notification in the App.
9. Now you can log in to your profile
Return to the login form. A good practice is to refresh the page with the login form to allow the system to refresh the data associated with your newly created password. Then, enter your registered email address and your new password. That's it!
A little remark: if you started the process of resetting the password and even received a link to create a new password, but at this moment - Eurica! You realised that you remember your correct password - you can skip the entire restoration process. Till the moment you create a new password and confirm it, your forgotten password is still valid.
Restoring the forgotten password is easy and fast.
This process is safe, secure, and takes just a few minutes.
